Miss Lainey!
Hi! I'm Miss Lainey and I'm the owner of Tinytune's Teaching Academy.
My reason for opening my own preschool is because I love God and the children he created. I love working with the littles and guiding them to be the best they can possibly be. I believe having a teacher that truly cares makes the biggest difference when it comes to learning.
I have experience working with toddlers for over 6 years. I have worked as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT), Early Intervention Specialist (EIS), Sped Paraeducator, one-on-one Tutor and I also volunteer at my local church in the Kids Ministry.
Here at Tinytune's Teaching Academy, I will not only be teaching from the award-winning Fundamental Curriculum but I will also teach about the Word of God. We all know that parenting is a mix of joy and worry. We celebrate our kids’ milestones, but we also lie awake at night wondering if they will make good choices, if they are safe, and if they will follow Jesus.
The truth is, no matter how hard we try, there is so much we cannot control. But prayer changes that.
Prayer is where we release our children into the hands of the God who loves them even more than we do.
When you pray for your kids, you are not just wishing them well, you are inviting God to move powerfully in their lives!

Our small classes of just 8 children allows your child to be comfortable and grow valuable friendships with the other preschoolers and teacher. Because conflict-resolution skills are super vital to learn at this age, we help your child work through their problems with other children. Teaching children is a huge responsibility, and we take that responsibility seriously! Not only are we state licensed and CPR/1st Aid Certified, but our distinct policies and procedures regarding health and safety help to keep your child in a safe, clean environment. We’re constantly cleaning, washing hands, and monitoring all activities to prevent any accidents.

To extend our learning we go on several field trips each year, and you get to join your child on them. We’ve gone to places like: the Zoo, Police Station, Fire Station, Grocery Store, Taekwondo, Domino’s Pizza, Pumpkin Patch, and more! We’ll also celebrate special occasions with parties for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, and your child’s birthday!

Each year, your child will receive a different t-shirt for that school year to wear on Spirit Days. Some of our families have been with us so long they are t-shirt collectors! We also save some of your child’s artwork for a special portfolio you get at graduation.

We offer you the opportunity to enrich your preschool experience by enjoying school pictures, class pictures, graduation pictures, cap ‘n gown pictures, and an end-of-the-year graduation video.

When should I call to register my child?
It’s never too early to call, so call as soon as you even think about registering, because our classes fill up ridiculously fast!
When does preschool start? Can I enroll mid-year?
With repetition and accommodating typical school year breaks, such as Winter and Spring breaks, the program will last for a full 10-month school year (August–May). If we have spots available, you can enroll mid-year. Please call us to see if we have any spots available.
How old does my child need to be to attend?
Preschool classes are for children who are ages 3 years old - 6 years old (and "independent almost-3-year-olds") by Sep. 1.
Does my child have to be potty trained?
Yes. If you have any questions about whether or not your child is ready, feel free to give us a call. We even have a “How To Potty Train” your child handout we can give you. It’s helped many preschool moms quickly potty train their kids. We’re here to help!
What is your teaching philosophy?
We follow a “whole child” and Faith-based curriculum where we work with you to improve your child’s Social, Emotional, Cognitive, Language, Spiritual, and Physical skills. Our curriculum is based on the NAEYC guidelines and features a balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated hands-on activities to accomplish these goals. We also incorporate Fundamentals Preschool Curriculum. Your child will learn to socialize, make friends, develop social and emotional skills, and be more than ready for Kindergarten!
Are there additional fees during the year?
No. Your registration fee covers all your child’s supplies and reserves a spot in our program. Your child won’t pay anything to attend our field trips and activities. And your family can come for free too! Your child will also receive at no extra cost: a preschool shirt to wear on Spirit Day and a graduation portfolio!
What if my child has food restrictions?
No worries. Several of our students have food intolerances or severe allergies. We ask these families to bring in their own snacks, and we create nut-free classrooms any time a child’s allergy is severe enough to require an epi pen.
Is the registration fee refundable?
No.
How many students do you have per class?
We have the smallest class sizes in town so your child gets lots of 1-on-1 time. We only have 10 students per class.
